Nick: First Choice Pediatrics serves more than children, we serve families. A lot of people don’t realize that when a patient comes to the desk, that parent could have been up all night long with the child and our service to the community is recognizing the hardships that parents go through every day and it’s very important that we sympathize and greet them accordingly. Recognizing that this sick patient and this parent could have been up all night with their child.
Natalia: At First Choice Pediatrics, we see children from when they’re newborn up until they turn eighteen. We also offer immunizations.
Esther: We follow the CDC immunization schedule and in the first year of life, there’s a couple of vaccines that you do have to get more than once.
Nick: Well visits are important for the infants and babies that come in because what the doctor does is they are measuring the growth chart and the progression of the child and their ability to thrive.
Esther: We’d make sure that we check their height, weight and head circumferences in the first two years of life.
Natalia: As a new patient, the only thing you need to do is just give us a call to schedule the appointment and then the parent just needs to bring their portal ID, their insurance card, if they have any of the child’s shot records or medical records and we just ask them to arrive thirty minutes before their appointment to fill out all the paperwork. If they do too, they can also go on our website and print out the New Patient Registration forms and everything that we need for that first visit. That way, it saves a lot of time when coming in. We do have an answering service that is out of our business hours that works twenty four hours, seven days a week including holidays.
All of our doctors are in a rotation to be on-call so whenever there’s anything that cannot wait until the next morning, the answering service will transmit that information to the doctor on-call and they will be receiving a call from one of our doctors.
Esther: I love seeing my patients grow up. I have many patients who I’ve been following since birth and now, they are talking to me in full sentences and we have a lot of families who bring their second and third children and their cousins and their grandchildren. It’s very fun to bond with the whole family, very fun to see the kids grow up. It’s always exciting to hear kids say, “I love you” to us.
At First Choice Pediatrics, our mission is to place our patients first in every situation and deliver extraordinary quality of care. As many of our doctors are parents themselves, we know firsthand how stressful it can be when your little one is sick. This is why we approach every situation with the same care and attentiveness as we would with our own children.
Whether your little one is feeling under the weather or is just in need of a routine checkup, each of our six locations have doctors and staff ready to help. Call to make an appointment or visit our Patient Portal to view medical records, update your information, or ask our doctors a question.
